On Stage Event Guidelines
Here are the guidelines that you need to follow for the on-stage events
Beatbox (Solo Dance)
Participants permitted: 2 individual participants per department. Only pendrive is allowed. Avoid obscene songs and costumes. The decision of the judges will be final. Duration: 4 minutes.
Dance-A-Thon (Group Dance)
Participants permitted: 1 team per department. Only pen drive is allowed. Avoid obscene songs and costumes. The decision of the judges will be final. Duration: 4 minutes.
Rhythm of Voice (Solo Singing)
Participants permitted: 2 individual participants per department. Choice of song is open to the participant but the song should not have any slangs or derogatory language. No karaoke allowed. The decision of the judges will be final. Duration: 2 minutes.
PSGCAS Icon (Variety Entertainment)
Participants permitted: 2 entries per department (Either individual participation or a team of maximum of 8 members). Any kind of talents can be expressed on the stage. Avoid obscene content. The decision of the judges will be final. Duration: 3 minutes.
Groove to the beat (Adapt Tunes)
Participants permitted: 2 entries per department. Participants have to dance adapting to the songs played on the spot. The decision of the judges will be final. Duration: 2 minutes.
Off Stage Event Guidelines
Here are the guidelines that you need to follow for the off-stage events
20/02/2024 Rang Rashmi (Rangoli)
Participants permitted: 1 team per department (3 members in a team). Participants must bring the requirements (Rangoli Powder). Participants should not use mobile phones during the competition. Theme will be given on the spot and places will be allotted. The decision of the judges will be final. Duration: 2 hours.
20/02/2024 Rhyme Riot (Poetry Competition)
Participants permitted: 2 individual participants per department. Medium of poem writing: English or Tamil. Participant can submit only one poem on A3/A4 sheet with minimum 10 lines. Poetry must be on the given topic/theme. Theme of the poem will be given on spot. The decision of the judges will be final. Duration: 45 minutes.
20/02/2024 The Loudspeakers (Extempore)
Participants permitted: 2 individual participants per department. Each participant shall be given 1-2 minutes to speak on the given topic. Language used shall be strictly in English or Tamil. No Bilingualism is encouraged. Any kind of vulgarity during the competition leads to immediate disqualification. The decision of the judges will be final.
20/02/2024 404 not found (Situational Analysis)
Participants permitted: 1 team per department (2 members in a team). Participants will be given with a situational crisis on the spot. Participants will have to prepare a presentation showcasing a solution to the given crisis within a time duration of 45 minutes. Participants can take internet references and references from the books provided in the library. A minimum of 10 slides are to be presented. The decision of the judges will be final. Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes (45 minutes for preparation; 45 minutes for presentation).
21/02/2024 No Boil No Oil (Flameless Cooking)
Participants permitted: 1 team per department (2 members in a team). Participants are allowed to prepare one main dish. Additions for the main dish can be provided but it should be prepared by the participants. All the necessary ingredients, requirements for preparation & plating should be brought by the participants.
21/02/2024 Shades of Cheek (Face Painting)
Participants permitted: 2 teams per department (2 members in a team). Participants should bring their own colours, brushes and other requirements. Participants should not use mobile phones during the competition. Topic will be given on the spot. The decision of the judges will be final. Duration: 1 hour.
21/02/2024 Art Buff (Origami, Handicrafts)
Participants permitted: 3 individual participants per department. Participants are supposed to bring their own materials. Participants will be engaged in three rounds consisting of origami work, vegetables or fruits carvings and the final round involving crafts open to their own ideas. Participants should not use any kind of reference for their art work during the competition. Any kind of misconduct will lead to immediate dismissal of the participant. No electronic Machinery or Gadgets are allowed for doing art work. Duration: 1 hour.
21/02/2024 Henna Hues (Mehandi Competition)
Participants permitted: 1 team per department (2 members in a team). Participants must bring the requirements. Participants should not use any kind of reference for doing their mehandi during the competition. Any kind of misconduct will lead to immediate dismissal of the participant. No Electronic Gadgets are allowed. The decision of the judges will be final. Duration: 45 minutes.
22/02/2024 IPL Auction
This is a team event. Each team should consist of only 4 (one will be captain) participants. Only one Participant (Team captain) will be allowed to bid in the 2nd round. Please decide one key participant among your teammates before submitting the registration form to enter the team details. Changes will not be entertained. There will be 2 rounds in this event. The first round will be the quiz based on IPL. The 2nd round is the auction round where the teams will bid for the players they want.
22/02/2024 Cinefesto (Movie Marathon)
Participants permitted: 1 team per department (3 members in a team). Participants will engage in 3 rounds consisting of a movie quiz, connection round and the redub round. Participants have to re-enact the scene allotted to them in the redub round. Usage of Mobile phones are not permitted. Any kind of misconduct will lead to immediate dismissal of the team. The decision of the judges will be final.
22/02/2024 Untold stories behind the lens (Photography)
Participants permitted: 1 team per department (maximum of 3 members in a team). Participants should use only their phone for the photography. Participants have to frame story/message with the photos taken. Photography is allowed only within the campus. Any kind of vulgarity during the competition leads to immediate disqualification of team. The decision of the judges will be final. Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes.
22/02/2024 AD Blitz (Instant Ad Creation)
Participants permitted: 1 team per department (3 members in a team). Participants will have to create an ad using any applications in the mobile phone based on the given theme. Duration of the ad should be limited to 20-30 seconds. The decision of the judges will be final.
22/02/2024 Brushstroke (Painting/Pencil Sketching)
Participants permitted: One individual participant per department. Participants must bring the requirements (A4/A3 sheet and other stationery items required). Theme will be given on the spot. The painting/ pencil sketching should be based on the given theme. The decision of the judges will be final. Duration: 45 minutes.
23/02/2024 Expenses Explorer (Budget)
Participants permitted: 2 members in a team. Participants will engage in 3 rounds. Usage of Mobile phones are not permitted. Any kind of misconduct will lead to immediate dismissal of the team. The decision of the judges will be final.
23/02/2024 Master Mind’s Match (Quiz)
Participants permitted: 1 team per department (3 members in a team). The medium of questions will only be in English. Quiz Questions will be based on the General Topics. Prelims will be conducted based on number of registrations. Will be conducted at various levels.
23/02/2024 Puzzle Pirates (Puzzle Relay)
Participants permitted: 1 team per department (3 members in a team). Participants are not allowed to use mobile phones during the competition. Participants will be involved in 3 rounds solving Rebus, Word and Jigsaw puzzle. Any kind of conduct by the participants will result in immediate disqualification. The decision of the judges will be final.
23/02/2024 Tamilodu Vilayadu
Participants permitted: 1 team per department (2 members in a team). Participants must know to read and write Tamil. Participants should have a basic knowledge about Tamil literature and language. Full event is completely organized in Tamil. Duration: 2 hours.
